The Healthgain project and the upcoming capacity building workshops were promoted at a major conference organised by DG SANCO in Brussels on 3 May 2012. The theme of the event was the results of the EU Public Health Programmes and perspectives for the future.

More than 650 people had registered to participate and the plenary sessions were live streamed to an internet audience. A wide range of health stakeholders attended the event and there was a lot of interest at the Healthgain stand at learning more about Structural Funds and how they could be used to improve public health.

The Healthgain project was represented by Tamsin Rose, Simon Pascoe and Tina Blain.
